The VHP today demanded amendment of the Foreign Citizen Act so that death sentence to illegal infiltrators from Bangladesh can be awarded and also to check infiltration and deport them.
Addressing a press conference, VHP President Pravin Togadia said it has adopted a resolution to take time-bound action plan against illegal infiltrators from Bangladesh and immediately deport them from the country to make "Hindus more prosperous, protected and honoured".
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi should undertake time bound action to deport the illegally migrated Bangladeshis.
He further said that if minorities from Bangladesh and Pakistan enter India, they should be declared as refugees and immediately given citizenship.
