Police have banned victory processions outside all four counting centres in this district as well as in the village of winning candidates after Panchayat poll results are declared tomorrow.

The victory processions have been banned to avoid any untoward incident, SSP Dharmendra Singh said.

All DSPs and SHOs have been directed to be vigilant in their respective jurisdictions after the elections results are declared, he said.

Police personnel will be deployed outside counting centres in all four blocks of Loni, Razapur, Muradnagar and Bhojpur (Modinagar) to maintain law and order, the SSP said.

Reserve police force will also be stationed at every Block Development Office to control any untoward incident, Singh said.

No person including police officials will be allowed to use mobile phone inside the counting centres, he said.

CCTV cameras have been installed inside all counting centres while videographers will also record incidents inside the centres, the SSP added.
