Vidarbha region of Maharashtra continues to sizzle under spell of heatwave with Chandrapur and Brahmapuri towns recording the highest maximum temperature of 46 degrees Celsius today, MeT officials said.
Nagpur city, with 45.6 degrees Celsius, recorded its hottest day of the season, an official of the Meteorological Centre here said.
Yesterday, Nagpur had recorded temperature of 45.1 degrees Celsius.
Mercury levels in all prominent cities in the region remained above 40 degrees Celsius -- Wardha (45.5), Gondia (44.8), Akola (44.2), Yavatmal (44), Amravati (43.2), Buldhana (41.3) and Vashim (41).
