Vidarbha region in Maharashtra continued to reel under intense heat wave conditions with temperatures soaring to a high of 45.9 degree Celsius in Chandrapur district.
According to Regional Meteorological Office here, Chandrapur was the hottest in eastern Vidarbha while Amravati came a close second with mercury touching 45.6 degree Celsius.
Nagpur which recorded 45.4 degrees yesterday was better today with 45.1. Akola and Wardha in western Vidarbha also stood at 45 degree Celsius.
Temperatures in other places were: Bramhapuri- 44.9, Gondia- 43.1, Washim-43 and Yavatmal-43.2 Celsius, the Met office said.
