Vidya Balan reaches out to women through 'Power Line'

Actress Vidya Balan has visited Uttar Pradesh Government's 'Women Power Line' centre to prompt women to come out and speak for themselves.

Balan, 37, is on the post-release promotional spree for her latest movie "Hamari Adhuri Kahani" along with Mahesh Bhatt, who has penned the story of the film.

Bhatt, 66 took to twitter to share Balan's picture attending a call at the 'Women Power Line'.

"Vidya Balan joins hands with our women in UP to amplify its msg - Chupi Todo - Khul ke Bolo!" he wrote.

In the film, Balan dons the role of Vasudha, who faces abuse by her husband but still cannot gather the courage to walk out of the marriage.
 

"Hamari Adhuri Kahani", directed by Mohit Suri, also stars Emraan Hashmi and Rajkumar Rao in lead roles. The film was made tax free in the state prior to the release last Friday.
