Sleuths of the anti-corruption wing conducted the verification at around 40 locations under five different divisions of the state Vigilance since yesterday, official sources said today.
In Bhubaneswar division, during the verification at different places including Nayagarh, Khurda, Gop and Bhubaneswar, shortage of 7073 bags and excess of 1271 bags of fertiliser of different varieties have been found, they said.
Godowns of stockists at Jaleswar and Balasore area were verified by Balasore Vigilance Division where excess of 385 bags and shortage of 32 bags of fertiliser of different brands have been detected.
Similarly, verification of different fertiliser agencies at Boudh, Ganjam and Berhampur was undertaken by the Berhampur Vigilance Division. An excess of 70 bags and shortage of 1041 bags of fertilizer have been detected.
