Vigilance team raids Rangnath Mishra's residence

A vigilance department team, probing the disproportionate assets case against former UP minister Rangnath Mishra, has raided his residence here and has recovered "vital evidences".

The raid was carried out yesterday and the team has seized computer belonging to the former BSP minister, police said this evening.

Two teams of the vigilance department had raided the residence of Mishra, who is presently in jail in connection with Labour and Construction Cooperative Federation (LACCFED) scam, said Satyendra Yadav, Station Officer of Orai police station.

"The vigilance team has deposited the computer and hard disk in the police station and it would later be sent to expert for detailed inspection," the SO said.
 

According to the official sources, all details of the former minister are in the computer and the vigilance has stumbled upon some important fact.
