Tamil star Vijay has called off the audio launch function of his next venture, 'Bhairavaa,' on account of the death of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, the movie's producers said today.
Producers B Venkatrama Reddy and B Bharathy Reddy of Vijaya Productions said plans were afoot to have a grand audio launch for the Vijay-Keerthi Suresh starrer but it was cancelled following Jayalalithaa's death, who was like a "member" of their family.
"Vijay had also asked us not to hold a grand audio launch for the same reason. Therefore we are releasing the songs directly across the globe on December 23," they said.

Further, Jayalalithaa, a yesteryear star, had acted in their company's 'Namnaadu,' also starring her mentor and matinee idol MG Ramachandran, they recalled.
"We respected her as a member of the family. Therefore, we called off the audio launch," the producers said in a statement.
'Bhairavaa', which has musical score by Santosh Narayanan of 'Kabali' fame, is slated for a January 2017 release.
