"I met the Defence Minister to stand up for the honour of men in uniform and ask Maharashtra Government to act against desecraters of Amar Jawan memorial in Mumbai," Vijay said after meeting the Defence Minister.
Vijay said Antony assured him that he will stand with the "soldiers' honour" and speak to Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan immediately in this regard.
The BJP leader also asked the Defence Minister to call up the Maharashtra Chief Minister to ask about the delay in arresting people responsible for defiling.
