Vijay Kumar wins gold in Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting

Olympic silver medallist, Vijay Kumar today grabbed the gold medal in the 25m center fire pistol men event during the XIV Kumar Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting Championship here today.

Vijay came up with an effort of 585 (289+296) to clinch the gold, while Gurpreet Singh's score of 579 (289+290) and Samaresh Jung's 578 (282+296) earned them the silver and bronze medals respectively.

In the 25m center fire pistol Junior men event, Neeraj Kumar emerged at the top with a score of 564 (276+288), while Pardeep scored 561 (285+276) and Rushiraj Atul Barot shot 555 (269+286) to win the silver and bronze medals.
 

In 50m rifle 3 position men, Satyendra Singh won the gold after shooting 450.3, while Imran Hasan Khan won the silver with an effort of 447.5. Surendra Singh Rathod won the bronze with a score of 446.7.

Akhil Sheoran clinched the gold medal, while Arun Sharma and Ninad P Chaudhari grabbed the silver and bronze in the 50m rifle 3 position of the junior men's compeition at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range.

Akhil from UP totalled 1135 (376+389+370) to emerge at the top, while Arun scored 1121 (371+388+362) and Ninad came up with an effort of 1114 (375+385+354) to finish second and third in the finals at today.
