DMDK founder Vijayakanth today kept the suspense on his party's decision to forge an alliance for the Lok Sabha polls pending, refraining from naming any party but said cadres "will oblige" when he takes the decision.

Addressing the party's 'Anti-Corruption Conference' near here, the actor-politician asked the gathering as to who should the party go for an alliance.

Acknowledging the crowd's repeated response for going alone to face the polls, Vijayakant said, "You all want me to go alone. But am sure if your leader says something, you will all oblige."

DMDK, the principal opposition in the Tamil Nadu Assembly,

has been keeping its cards close to its chest over alliance for the Lok Sabha polls.

Ever since it parted ways with the ruling AIADMK soon after the 2011 Assembly polls, DMDK has been critical of the Jayalalithaa-led government.

While the DMK and the BJP are being open about seeking support from DMDK, Vijayakanth has been maintaining suspense over his party's alliance.

Vijayakanth's national ambitions were evident from his partymen seeking support for their leader to make an influence in Delhi as well as from the replica of Parliament seen at the conference venue.
