Vijayawada rly station to get 12 RO water kiosk

MP Kesineni Srinivas today inaugurated an RO (Reverse Osmosis) water kiosk at the Vijayawada Railway station.

Srinivas on the occasion said the Indian Railways has taken many initiatives to improve passenger amenities and the installation of RO kiosks at the railway stations is one of such initiatives to supply purified drinking water to the passengers at a nominal price.

Divisional Railway Manager Ashok Kumar apprised that 12 such RO water kiosks would be installed at he Vijayawada railway station and another 67 will be installed in various stations in the division.

He said that price of water is fixed at Rs 5 a litre and Rs 20 for five litres.
 

The kiosk is being managed by a private contractor under IRCTC.
