Maharashtra NCP chief Sunil Tatkare today took on the veteran Congress leader Balasaheb Vikhe-Patil for holding the NCP president Sharad Pawar responsible for the water scarcity in the state, especially the drought-hit Marathwada region.
Vikhe-Patil had targeted Pawar, who had been the Maharashtra CM thrice, and his party which was in power in alliance with the Congress for the last 15 years, for the status of irrigation and for allegedly favouring the western Maharashtra in water distribution.
"Vikhe-Patil only wanted to make the headlines by attacking Pawar," Tatkare said here, addressing a press conference.
