Vikram Logistics to launch logistics hub near Nagpur

Vikram Logistic and Maritime Services Pvt Ltd will be launching the first phase of its integrated logistics park at Borkhedi, 34 km from here, tomorrow, a top company official said.

Infrastructure India, a closed-end equity fund, acquired almost 100 per cent ownership of VLMS in 2011.

Karun Sathianathan, Managing Director of VLMS, said VLMS will be providing a large basket of services including rail linked inland container depot, rail linked domestic container terminal, first mile and last mile connectivity, automobile logistics park, liquid tank farm for liquid cargo, private freight terminal and dedicated warehousing for transit and bonded cargo, domestic cargo and cargo managed under long term contacts.
 

The company will be investing initially Rs 100 crore in the first phase.

The ILP will be inaugurated tomorrow by O P Singh, Divisional Railway Manager, Central Railway, Nagpur.
