Solar module manufacturer Vikram Solar Wednesday said it has bagged 140 MW solar plant project from National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) in Uttar Pradesh.
NTPC plans to install 225 MW solar plant in Uttar Pradesh and Vikram Solar has been awarded first allotment of 140 MW project, the company said in a statement issued here.

Tata Power Wednesday said it has extended its power purchase agreement with the BrihanMumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST) for 677 MW for five years till March 2024.
State electricity regulatory commission MERC has allowed BEST to extend its existing PPA with Tata Power for 677 MW, which will be supplied from its Trombay thermal and hydro plants for five years from April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2024, the company said in a statement issued here.
The existing power tie-up of 677 MW between BEST and Tata Power is scheduled to expire on March 31 this year. *********************** Waaree to set up 25kV rooftop project at HIAL *
Solar power solutions provider Waaree Energies Wednesday said it is setting up a 25 kV rooftop solar project at Himalayan Institute of Alternatives (HIAL) in Leh.
HIAL is expected to save close to Rs 2 lakh per year, the company said in a statement issued here.
