A village head and two of his supporters have been booked for allegedly misbehaving with a Dalit anganwadi worker at Niyamu village under Charthawal police station here, police said.

A case was lodged against Niyamu grampradhan Liyakat Ali and his supporters Javed and Imitiyaz Hasan last evening after the woman complained that Ali misbehaved and made derogatory remarks against her, they said.

The trio were booked after several anganwadi workers approached the police and demanded action against the accused, police said, adding no arrest has been made so far in this connection.
