Two groups of villagers today clashed at Kukudihi, on the outskirt of Suri town, leading to the arrest of seven persons.
Birbhum Superintendent of Police N Sudheer Kumar said, "the clash at Kukudihi was sequel to a scuffle over some trivial dispute between the two groups that took place a couple of days ago".
"Timely intervention by our force brought the situation under control today", the SP said.
A vehicle with a police sticker pasted on its windscreen, was seized from the village.
