Villagers lynch cattle smuggler

A cattle smuggler was allegedly lynched in a Moradabad village this morning, police said.

People belonging to Nazarpur village under Mudha Pandey police station area of Moradabad chased and stopped a vehicle carrying cattle, reports reaching the state police headquarters here said.

Though three of the occupants fled, the villagers caught hold of one identified as Mohd Hanis (40) of Rampur and lynched him.

They also put the vehicle on fire after bringing out the cattle, reports added.
