Protesting against the upcoming airport at Kishangarh town, the people of Rathodon Ki Dhaani village today appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to displace them in the name of development.

In a unique protest, villagers sat on the road with their cattle bearing plates that read, 'do the justice PM sahab, don't kill us for the sake of development'.

They said their families have been living in the village for more than 500 years and despite their continuous protest their land is being taken away for the airport.

"Chief secretary OP Meena on February 8 this year had promised to look into our compensation demands. But nothing has happened. We are being forced to leave our villages," Pratap Singh Rathore, resident of Rathodon Ki Dhani, said.

Social activist Nikhil Dey alleged that villagers have been deceived as earliest notification of August 4, 2011 appeared in a Sindhi paper 'Adhunik Rajasthan'.

Since 2013, villagers have been protesting for fair compensation but to no avail.
