The inauguration ceremony for newly-constructed Kisan Bhawan and an overbridge in Haryana's Kosli area were cancelled as villagers held a protest against non-mentioning of their village name on the inauguration stones.

A large number of people from Bhakli village held the protest against non-inscription of their village name on the inauguration stones of the newly-constructed Kisan Bhawan at Kosli and the overbridge on Salhawas road, officials said.

The agitated villagers also uprooted the inauguration stone of the Kisan Bhawan, they said.

Following the protest, Congress MP from Rohtak Deepender Singh Hooda had to cancel the inauguration programme of the two projects.
