"Fast and Furious" star Vin Diesel is to resurrect hit 1970s TV cop show 'Kojak' for the big screen.
The 45-year-old has signed up to play the hit detective, made famous by Telly Savalas, reported Sun Online.
Ex-show star Kevin Dobson, who played Kojak's partner Bobby Crocker, said, "Vin will do a great job."

'Kojak' ran for five seasons and 125 episodes from 1973 to 1978. Another television adaptation was given a try back in 2005 with Ving Rhames in the lead, but that attempt only lasted one season.
