In a setback to connoisseurs of vintage cars, the National Green Tribunal has directed that no such car would be permitted to ply on the roads of Delhi citing its earlier order that banned all vehicles older than 15 years from plying.
A bench headed by NGT Chairperson Justice Swatanter Kumar recently in an order made it clear that any authority would not issue fitness certificates to these vintage cars without specific order of the tribunal.
The order came while hearing a plea filed by Madan Mohan, director of 21 Gun Salute International Vintage Car Rally, who had moved the Tribunal seeking permission for the rally.
