Apparently peeved over absence of government officials from duty and their tours, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today directed that officers in the state secretariat would have to seek approval from him before proceeding on tour.

"The officers should stay in the offices to solve the problems of people and must get their tour programmes approved from me before proceeding on tour," Singh told mediapersons.

Referring to remarks made by former chief minister PK Dhumal that the performance of the government had been dismal during past three years, Singh said,"Dhumal recognises only two colours - black and white- and he should know that there are other colours also."

The BJP leaders are giving misleading statements to divert the attention of the people from the failures of the government at the Centre and BJP-ruled states.
