The three-day Visakha Utsav, a tourist festival, today started at Ramakrishna Beach here this evening.
Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated the festival.
It was preceded by a carnival from the Park Hotel to the beach, involving more than 1,000 artistes and tableaux representing Indian Navy, Shipyard, agricultural development, self-help groups, etc.
A model of Vizag Metro Rail coach was a big attraction.
The inaugural function began with Indian Navy Band, and also featured a performance by percussionist A Sivamani and others.
