As part of expansion of its services, telecommunication major Vodafone today launched SuperNetTM4G service in the city.
Vodafone had already launched the service in Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Madurai, Tuticorin, Tiruchirappalli, Hosur, Salem, Erode, Puducherry and launch in Chennai was an extension of its service.
"As a steadfast partner to India, we are delighted to launch Vodafone SuperNetTM4G in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. 4G (service) has the potential to revolutionise the mobile experience through powerful innovation that impacts how we work and live", Vodafone India, Business Head-Tamil Nadu, S Murali said in a statement.

Already Vodafone has launched the service in Kerala, Karnataka, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh East.
Chess legend Viswanathan Anand formally launched the service in city at a function here.
As part of the launch, Vodafone unveiled data packs starting from Rs eight for 30MB, 4G wi-fi service that supports connectivity to upto 15 devices among others.
