Leading GSM operator Vodafone would full bring the metro under the 4G network coverage by the end of FY18, a company official said.
"The 4G coverage in Kolkata now is 90 per cent. This will be fully covered by the end of fiscal 2017-18", business head (East) of Vodafone India Arvinder Singh Sachdev said.
For RoB (rest of Bengal), 1290 towns had been brought under 4G coverage. Plans were now to double that number, he told reporters here today.

Sachdev said the company had spent Rs 1300 crore last year to improve infrastructure network in the circle.
It was deploying second carrier to improve the 4G speed, he added.
