Tata Group firm Voltas Ltd today reported an increase of over two-and-a-half times in consolidated net profit at Rs 108.99 crore for the first quarter ended on June 30, 2014.
The company had a consolidated net profit of Rs 40.75 crore in the April-June quarter of the previous fiscal.
Voltas consolidated net sales increased 9.39 per cent to Rs 1,752.31 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 1,601.78 crore in the same period a year ago, the company said in a statement.
Voltas scrip closed at Rs 203.70 per scrip on the BSE, down 1.57 per cent from its previous close on the BSE.
