Volunteers of Tamil outfit held for attempting rail roko

Volunteers of 'Tamizhar Adhigaram' today courted arrest when they attempted to picket the Tirupati bound Express train here to mark their protest against demonetisation of high denomination notes.

Around 30 volunteers of the outfit had squatted on the track, minutes before the train was scheduled to depart and were arrested, police said.

They raised slogans against the Central government, stating that the demonetisation was causing hardship to all sections of people.
