The Gandhian said though he has no plans to contest elections, he was ready to campaign for honest and clean candidates.
People should elect their MPs and MLAs on the basis of social service rendered by them and their personal character. Candidates aspiring to become legislators must show commitment to implement election manifesto and remain answerable to common people for their every act, he said while talking to PTI at his native village here in western Maharashtra.
Since there are not enough honest Members of Parliament in the current House, passing a strong Lokpal Bill has become difficult, the veteran social activist said.
