Over 11 lakh voters in North West Delhi today took a pledge to cast their votes in Delhi assembly polls, according to the office of the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer.
"At 11.11 am today (November 11), 11 lakh voters from the district took a pledge to cast their votes," said Additional District Magistrate (North West) S S Parihar.
A mega event under the voter awareness programme was organized at Delhi Technological University where thousands of students, along with their faculty members, took the pledge to vote as well as encourage their family members, friends and relatives to step out of their houses and participate in the electoral process, added Parihar.
Besides students, members of market associations, Residents' Welfare Associations, school and colleges students also took the pledge.
