Voting awareness rally taken out by KCW students

To create awareness among people about the importance of exercising one's franchise, a rally was taken out by the students of Khalsa College for Women here today.

The students, carrying placards and banners with appeal to the citizens to use their fundamental right to vote, gave the message that success of our democracy depends upon casting votes.

"The aim of the rally was to persuade citizens that every vote is important and they must use their franchise as duty to choose their representatives who they feel would work for their betterment and that of the city," said KCW Principal in a release.
 

She also said that they had received guidelines from the District Election Commission Officer and election authorities deputed Inspector Ravinder Kumar Sharma to arrange the rally.

The faculty members and students participated in the rally in large numbers.
