Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu will visit the city on August 27, his first here since being elected to the post.
He is scheduled to inaugurate an event to mark 75 years of the Quit India movement, a PIB release here said.
He will later interact with faculty and students of the premier technical varsity, Anna University, it said.
Naidu was on August 5 elected vice-president, receiving an overwhelming two-third of the votes against opposition candidate Gopalkrishna Gandhi.
