The California-based firm, that claims to be the world's largest independent mobile video and media company, said it will hire about 100 engineers from India in the next one year.

"This is Vuclip's first R&D centre in India and its third globally, with the other two located in Silicon Valley and Beijing," the company said in a statement.

This 15,000 square-foot centre includes a unique mobile lab supporting 8,500 different mobile devices from over 200 manufacturers, it added.
