A vulnerable witness deposition complex was today inaugurated at Dwarka Courts complex here that will provide separate space and comfortable environment to vulnerable witnesses, including children in sexual abuse cases.
The complex, inaugurated by apex court judge U U Lalit, has a separate entry for vulnerable witnesses, so that they do not come in direct contact with the accused at any point of time, a press note said.
"The complex has been specially designed to provide protection, privacy, confidentially and comfort to vulnerable witnesses and child witnesses, in an in-camera atmosphere, in the matters pertaining to sexual and other heinous offences," it said.
