Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij today said that the 'vyayamshalas' and 'yogshalas' being opened across the state by the government can be used by all sections irrespective of their caste, creed or religion.
"The yogshalas (yoga centres) would not be allowed to be used for any religious, social or political purpose," the Health and Sports Minister said here.
He said that a person belonging to any caste, religion or political party can visit these vyayamshalas (gymnasiums) and yogshalas for practising yoga.
"No one would be allowed to do any other activity there," he said.
However yesterday, Haryana minister O P Dhankar had said that the 'vyayamshalas' "can also be utilised for public interest by social or youth organisations".
"We have no objection if the Congress party too wants to visit vyayamshalas," Dhankar had said in Hisar yesterday responding to the opposition party's charge that there was a plan to use vyayamshalas and public parks for holding RSS 'shakhas'.
