Realty player Wadhwa Group today said it has appointed Girish Shah as director.
In his new role, Shah will be responsible for sales, marketing, IT, HR and CRM functions among others, the company said in a statement.
Prior to joining the group, Shah was associated with Godrej Properties as Chief Marketing Officer where he was instrumental in establishing a sharp marketing and brand vision for the business.

Tata Power generation capacity increases 5pc in FY16 * Private utility Tata Power today said its total generation capacity increased by five per cent in the financial year 2015-16 compared to the last fiscal.
"The company, together with all its subsidiaries and jointly controlled entities, has an installed generation capacity of 9,184 MW (as of May 2016) as compared to 8,750 MW in FY15 (May 2015) from various fuel sources such as thermal, hydro, renewable energy (wind and solar PV) and waste heat recovery," a statement stated.
The consolidated generation through all its subsidiaries stands at 47,016 million units (MUs) in financial year 2015-16, while the standalone capacity stood at 12,075 MUs.

J Kumar Infraprojects Q4 net up 5pc at Rs 29 cr * J Kumar Infraprojects today reported a 4.6 per cent rise in standalone net profit at Rs 28.61 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 27.33 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a BSE filing.
Total income from operations increased to Rs 403.94 crore, over Rs 402.96 crore in the year-ago period.
The total expenses also increased to Rs 353.79 crore over Rs 347.64 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
In a separate BSE filing, the company said it has secured Letter of Award from Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority and Uttar Pradesh Rajkiya Nirman Nigam Ltd worth Rs 620.15 crore.

Star Health Insurance launches Super Surplus-Gold Plan * Star Health and Allied Insurance has introduced a new variant - Gold Plan - under the Super Surplus Insurance Policy and Star Super Surplus Floater Insurance, which is a top-up policy.
Under the plan, the claim becomes payable when the hospitalisation expenses exceed the 'defined limit' as opted by the customer. This defined limit can be from one single hospitalisation or multiple hospitalisations, at different points of time, during the policy period.
The plan has coverage limits up to Rs 25 lakh and there is no capping on the room rent. The plan can be taken by persons up to 65 years of age with lifelong renewal benefit.
NPS awareness fortnight to begin from June 27
* With a view to create awareness about the National Pension System (NPS) and improve subscriber interface, it has been decided to observe NPS Service Fortnight from June 27 to July 9 by all the functionaries in the NPS value chain.
These entities would include Points of Presence (POPs), the Central Recordkeeping Agency (CRA) etc across the country.
This fortnight-long campaign is aimed at awareness creation, service orientation and information dissemination along with subscribers registration, an official statement said.

DataWind enters 4G market with Rs 5,999 tablet PC * Low cost device maker DataWind today entered in to 4G segment with launch of its first tablet PC supporting the high speed technology for Rs 5,999.
"With the launch of our first 4G tablet we strive to provide our customers blazing high speed of internet at minimal cost. We are also planning to launch additional 4G products shortly," Datawind President and CEO Suneet Singh Tuli said in a statement.
The tablet with 7-inch display is built on Android 5.1 platform and has Quad Core Cortex A7 processor. It comes with 1 GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory and external memory expandable up to 32 GB. The tablet will support wireless connections such as Wi-fi Hotspot, Wi-fi Direct, Bluetooth and GPS.

JK Tyres exports consignment to Mexico via New Mangalore Port * JK Tyres has started tyre export from New Mangalore Port and shipped the first consignment to Mexico, the government said today.
New Mangalore is one of the 12 centre-owned major ports in the country.
"JK Tyres, Mysore, commenced exports of tyres through New Mangalore Port. The Port witnessed a land mark achievement on account of the aggressive business promotion drive initiated by the Port Administration...
"As a result, the first consignment of trial shipment of 40 High Cube container was exported from Mangalore," Shipping Ministry said in a statement.
