Actor Javed Jaffrey, who is back with popular show 'Boogie Woogie', says TRPs are important but they want to present clean and quality work.

Started in 1997, 'Boogie Woogie' was one of the longest running dance reality shows. The new season will feature children in the age group of 6 to 14.

Though there are lot of reality shows today making ratings quite important, Javed wants to make a quality show.

"We are concerned about TRPs, it is important for any show. We want to bring TRPs but through purity... We want to give a quality product by getting the best out of the contestants. We want to do clean, good work, have good quality on the show, follow rules and regulations. If we do all this, success will follow," Javed said here.

"Times have changed but basic morals are not changed. Television is open for everyone to watch, there is no certification, we will try to keep the show family oriented. We are concerned about our show, we don't look at other shows," he said.

Javed does not believe that after celebrities come on reality shows to promote their films, the TRPs increase.

"Celebrities do not add TRP, they come to encourage contestants and not manipulate ratings. We are not banking on celebrities for this. If they come to promote their films, good, if they don't come it is okay for us," he said.

The trio of Jaaved Jaffrey, Naved and Ravi Behl will be the judges and Sargun Mehta and 12-year-old actor Rakshit Wahi will host the dance show.

The top 16 contestants for the show have been selected from across the country. The scoring and elimination of the children will be based on judges' scores and there will be no public voting. The talented young dancers will compete for the title of Boogie Woogie Kids Champion.

"Kids are most lovable, dynamic and innocent. They are the best way to begin a talent show. Later on we might come up with mothers on the show, men and women, groups," Javed said.

'Boogie Woogie' will begin on December 7, every Saturday and Sunday on Sony Entertainment channel.
