Subrata Bain's name was in the list of 23 most wanted criminals given by the Bangladeshi government to India, police said, but did not elaborate on his terror links.
Bain had escaped from a Nepal jail earlier this month by digging a 80-feet tunnel.
Most of the fake currency seized from him were counterfeit Nepali money, police added.
