Wanted criminal arrested in neighbouring Haryana

Pawan, who holds a reward of Rs one lakh for his arrest and allegedly involved in 15 cases of murder, attempt to murder, car-jacking, robberies and extortions in Delhi and Haryana, was apprehended from Haryana's Bahadurgarh.

"It was a joint operation with Haryana Police. Pawan finds place in list of the Top 10 most desperate criminals of Delhi. The list was prepared by Crime Branch. He has been evading the police dragnet for more than a year," DCP (Special Cell) Sanjeev Yadav said.

Born in Bawana, Pawan did his schooling from Kanjhawala and Sonepat. After his schooling, he fell in bad company and indulged in crime.He formed an inter-state gang of criminals with its members in Delhi and Haryana.

 

Pawan was arrested in Hisar in 2007 for allegedly harbouring desperate criminals wanted in Haryana.

"Later he formed his own gang. They used to allegedly commit crimes like robbery, dacoity, murder, car-jacking, burglary and theft," Yadav said.
