Wanted criminal from Hyd held in Nashik

A 25-year-old man from Hyderabad, wanted in as many as 54 cases of burglaries and chain-snatchings, was arrested today by the local police.

Mohmed Mujib Afaan Bin was picked from his current residence at Panchshil Nagar in Bhadrakali area of Old Nashik, a top police officer said.

Police seized 16 tolas gold, two motor cycles and cash worth Rs 6 lakh from Bin while his two accomplices managed to escape, Police Commissioner Ravindrakumar Singhal told reporters.

Bin had escaped from the custody of the Hyderabad Police with his handcuffs on.

He was arrested when he was trying to commit burglary, the police commissioner said.
