A wanted criminal carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on him was killed in a suspected gang war in Uttar Pradesh's Banda district, police said here today.
Body of a man was lying near Gobari area in Banda and he was later identified as Ram Singh Gaur (40), member of listed Ragia gang, they said.
It seemed that Gaur, and a native of Satna in Madhya Police, was killed in a clash between Ragia gang and rival Balkheria gang, police said.
While MP Police had announced a reward of Rs two lakh on Gaur, its Uttar Pradesh counterpart had announced Rs 50,000.
Gaur was facing 37 criminal cases, including that of murder, loot and abduction in MP and UP.
