An alleged illegal arms supplier carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head has been arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police from Mandsor in Madhya Pradesh.

Accused Gurubakhat Singh, 30, was arrested yesterday by the team, which was stationed in Khargone, police said today.

Singh, wanted in a case of illegal arms supply, was declared a proclaimed offender in March, 2014 by a court, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) PS Kushwah said.

In 2013, the Delhi Police had arrested a man identified as Manoj Kumar, a resident of Aligarh, and seized from his possession 13 illegal weapons and 24 rounds of ammunition, which were reportedly supplied to him by Singh, the DCP said.

But, Singh had not joined investigation and was declared as proclaimed offender. Subsequent efforts made to apprehend him proved futile and a reward of Rs 50,000 was announced on his arrest by the Delhi Police three months ago, he added.
