Hansraj, a native of Uttar Pradesh, was arrested yesterday for his involvement in the loot of the laptop showroom in Rajasthan's Marwar district.
Dozens of laptops of different brands and a pistol were recovered from him, police said.
During interrogation, police came to know that Hansraj is a notorious criminal and wanted in numerous cases in different states.
Hansraj has invested money acquired from criminal activities in real estate and owns properties in Azamgarh, Badarpur, Shalimar Garden and Jagatpuri, they said. He also operates a milk dairy at Badarpur in the capital.
Six different dossiers were prepared with regard to his arrest on different occasions due to the fact that he gave a different address each time he was arrested, police said.
"Currently, he is facing trial in as many as 30 cases," DCP (East District) Prabhakar said.
Police said he is wanted in a case registered under stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act at Amar Colony police station and was declared proclaimed offender in many cases of night burglary in NCR.
