Venkatapur police today arrested three former members of Janashakthi group of Naxals during a vehicle check at SL Venkatapur village in Mulug division.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajamahendra Naik identified the arrested men as Bodagani Sarangam, resident of Peddapur, Yata Kumaraswamy from Rayinigudem and Pllerla Thirupathi from Narsingapur in Karimnagar district.
The police stopped them as they were moving in suspicious manner; they tried to flee but were nabbed, he said.
Some letterpads and wall posters of the banned Janashakthi Naxal group were recovered from them, the DySP said.
