A 28-year old warden at the central prison at Viyuur was attacked and injured by a life convict in the jail premises today, police said.
Krishnakumar, convicted in a murder case about a year ago, suddenly attacked Ramesh with stones without any provocation, causing head injuries, they said.
The warden had been admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital at nearby Mulamkunnathukav, police said.
