It was a warm and partly cloudy day in the national capital today with the maximum temperature settling at 39.8 degrees Celsius.
"The maximum temperature temperature at Safdarjung settled at 39.8 degrees Celsius which is one degree above the normal for the season," said a MeT official.
The minimum temperature was registered at 25.3 degrees Celsius, he said.
The relative humidity oscillated between maximum 68 percent and minimum 31 percent during the day.
The Weatherman has forecast partly cloudy skies tomorrow with likelihood of thunderstorms or dust storms in some areas.
The maximum temperature is expected to rise to 40 degrees Celsius while minimum is expected to settle around 26 degrees.
