The national capital experienced a warm and sultry morning today with humidity rising to over 70 per cent.

The minimum temperature was registered at 29.2 degree Celsius, a notch above normal.

Weatherman has predicted partly cloudy sky during the day and maximum temperature may settle around 41 degree Celsius with high humidity persisting throughout.

"Thundery conditions could occur in some areas of the city during the later part of the day," said a MeT official.

Humidity was recorded as high as 74 per cent at 8:30 AM.

Yesterday, maximum temperature of 43.3 degree Celsius and minimum of 32 degree Celsius were recorded in the city.

Intermittent showers in the city from Thursday to Saturday last week had given Delhiites respite from the extremely hot and dry conditions which persisted from June 3 to June 9 when temperature hovered around the 45 degrees-mark.

The rain, however, has caused humidity levels to increase.
