Warm morning in city

Delhiites today woke up to partly cloudy skies with the minimum temperature soaring to settle at 30 degrees Celsius, five notches above normal.

Yesterday, the national capital had witnessed the hottest day of the season so far as the mercury touched 44 degrees Celsius.

The humidity at 8.30 AM was recorded at 37 per cent.

The Met Office has predicted light rains for the day.

"The skies will be partly cloudy. Light rain and thundershowers are likely to occur in some parts of the city.

"The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 40 degrees Celsius," said the official.

Yesterday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 23.8 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.
