English film "Warpath - Beyond the Life", based on the journey of an Australian doctor Graham Stuart Staines who served leprosy affected persons, will hit the screens on April 28.

The Deepak Shivade-directed movie is produced by Dilip Wagh and co-produced by Rohini Wagh and Sangita Bagul.

"Staines served leprosy affected people in the country but was burnt alive along-with his two children in Odisha," Dilip told PTI.

"19 years have passed since the incident. City-based NGO 'Aasha Foundation' has made an attempt to showcase the work done by Staines for 34 years through the movie," Dilip adds.

The producer says he initiated the project in 2002 and took 15 years to complete it.

"During the period, I faced several problems including financial ones. We have roped in actors from USA and Russia besides local ones for the movie," he adds.

The film was shot at a tribal locality in the Nashik district.
