Wasim Ahmed appointed member of AMU Executive Council

Former MP Wasim Ahmed has been appointed a member of the Executive Council of the Aligarh Muslim University.

Ahmed, who has been appointed by the President in his capacity as a Visitor to the AMU, will be serving his sixth term. He was appointed as a Member for the first term in 1990.

The former parliamentarian is now recuperating after a coronary bypass for multiple blocks in a Mumbai hospital.

Retired Lt Gen Syed Ata Hasnain has also been appointed as a member of the AMU Executive Council.
